Galette des Rois is a delicious French tradition celebrating Epiphany – the arrival of the Three Kings on the 6th of January. It is made of two circles of homemade buttery puff pastry filled with rich, sweet almond cream. Hidden in the cream is a little fève – a ceramic figurine. Whoever finds it in their slice is crowned King or Queen for the day!

It is baked throughout January in France and is a real treat for young and old alike.

The ceramic charms used in Galettes des Rois are eagerly collected in France. The charm is baked into the galette, so please make sure you warn your guests before serving to look out for it and chew carefully
